I've got Acronis 10. Doing a clean install of Vista All I want to do is
restore individual files from an XP backup to, a central folder I create in
Vista.  Not programs or settings or anything like that. Just files, like
zip, txt, mp3, doc files.  Possible?

I'm running Vista Ultimate. In the Start menu, all items on the right side of
the menu - "Recent Items", "Computer", "Network", etc. - none of them have
icons. It takes longer to quickly find things.
Is there a way to have icons for the list, as XP did?

I've bought Vista Ultimate 64 bit Edition in USA and I can't activate it.
Vista tells  "this serial nuber is allready in use."
I cant activate it by phone, the voice tell me "we cant activate windows for
you".

I just formatted my PC and install Vista again but this time I can't
re-activate.
Please tell me what do I need to re-activate it? (Not by phoning activation

This is the second time I've installed Vista Home Premium.
The first time there were these folders that I was unable to access that had
a small arrow next to the folder. I was told these point to the actual
folder

setup is now dual boot, linux and xp. lilo is the boot loader. if i run a
vista upgrade do i need to remove lilo first, or will vista just take over

Using Belkin Easy Transfer USB cable to transfer docs and setting from old
Win XP SP2 computer to new Vista computer.  Transfer fails midstream; when
restarting, there is no recognition that there has already been a partial
transfer - starts over fresh each time.

I've managed to successfully install Vista Home Premium using 2G of RAM.  
The problem now is that when I add another 2G the system blue screens and
reboots.
