I have made a clean install of Windows Vista Ultimate having bought the
System Builder Version. Everything works absolutely fine, but one thing
surprises me.

Today I have upgraded my computer with a new hard drive (replaced the
existing one), PSU, sound card and added an additional DVD drive. Before this
upgrade I was running Windows Vista with no problems, and had no issues
associated with it.

This sounds like a strange thing to do, but the plan is:
(1) Buy new motherboard with OEM Vista DVD;
(2) Replace motherboard in existing computer (Windows XP);
(3) Once XP is working, perform an upgrade to Vista.
