Hi my basic problem is I dont know enough . I purchased a new Compac Presario SR502 with Windows Vista basic preinstalled. This came complete with 512 Ram - which based on my previous home PC , I thought would be a great system.

I have a dual boot system with XP and Vista. Whenever I need a restore point there is always just one, the most current. What's wrong here and how do I fix it?

Had trouble upgrading to Vista from XP on my ACER laptop. The upgrade gets to the final bit and then Windows will not start so I went back to XP. After a few exchanges of emails I was phoned by ACER today and they suggest that there may be a fault on the disc.

After reloading Home Premium due to a non recoverable crash, I can not right click on any label under START/PROGRAMS to delete it or even make a shortcut. I have to go into MY COMPUTER or EXPLORER to do it. How do I fix this?

This is activation procedure is stupid Purchased Vista as a part of a pc build, as i'm system builder This had been working fine until last week when the nvidia nforce drivers totally trashed the system causing it to blue screen constantly.
