Hi my basic problem is I dont know enough .
I purchased a new Compac Presario SR502 with Windows Vista basic
preinstalled.  This came complete with 512 Ram - which based on my previous
home PC , I thought would be a great system.

I have a dual boot system with XP and Vista. Whenever I need a restore
point there is always just one, the most current. What's wrong here and
how do I fix it?

Had trouble upgrading to Vista from XP on my ACER laptop. The upgrade gets
to the final bit and then Windows will not start so I went back to XP.
After a few exchanges of emails I was phoned by ACER today and they suggest
that there may be a fault on the disc.

After reloading Home Premium due to a non recoverable crash, I can not right
click on any label under START/PROGRAMS to delete it or even make a shortcut.
I have to go into MY COMPUTER or EXPLORER to do it.

Purchased Vista as a part of a pc build, as i'm system builder
This had been working fine until last week when the nvidia nforce drivers
totally trashed the system causing it to blue screen constantly.

I have currently installed windows XP home edition on my pc and ordered
windows Vista Home Basic. However, when I wanted to upgrade I got trouble.
First I have to register which all works fine. Then it starts installing and

I installed vista today, and my network connection no longer works.  right

I am having trouble getting the Vista Install (Enterprise Edition) to pickup
my unattend xml settings from Windows Deployment Services (WDS).
Here's what I've done so far:
- Setup WDS on W2K3 R2 SP2.

How do I move the user accounts from the C: to the D: drive?
I have Vista Premium, The C: is going to be reserved for main system
programs and the D: drive will be used for the user files and games.

I've just upgraded to Vista from XP using the Upgrade path, and I seem
to be having permission issues.
It first manifested itself with a problem trying to access Windows
Explorer or Control Panel from the start menu, but indeed this also

To set the stage here the Vista Advisor found no issues.
