I have recently upgraded my hard drive and installed vista ultimate 64 bit on
it but it says my windows key is in use elsewhere? i have my old hdd here
which vista was on and it has been formatted. I have the real oem version of
windows ultimate

Howdy, Folks,
When putting a new motherboard in a system, in previous versions of Windows
it was possible to do a repair installation by booting from the CD.  This
prevented losing system settings and having to reinstall applications.  See:

Hmmm...OK, my desktop will not read the install disk; after about 5 min of
the drive trying to read it it just reads as  "DVD-ROM", and cannot open.
When you check the properties is says that there are 0 bytes used and 0 bytes

Did the upgrade from XP PRO to Ultimate using a full retail and it appears
that my old Windows is in a folder titled: $WINDOWS.~Q, there is no Windows
old folder anywhere. There is also a folder $INPLACE.~TR and one titled
$Recycle.Bin . Is it safe to delete all three of these? ...

I have been trying to install the 64 bit version of Vista Ultimate
on my system.  It is an ECS NForce4M-A motherboard with an Athlon 64
X2 4200 processor, 1 GB RAM, A GEForce 7300 GS GPU with 512 MB RAM

I have been having problems with computer not going to sleep, tried many
things but in end gave up. Yesterday there was a very large number of
downloads and now computer goes to sleep with no problems. Anyone know if

My wife bought me a copy of the Vista Home Premium Upgrade in March and all
went well until last week when I had a software issue with another programme
