I have one harddrive, with two partitions labeled Disk0, 24GB on C and 54G on D C has Vista installed and D is free. The drive is a basic type. After Vista installed, I am left with only 7GB on C. How can I move or slide 24GB from D leaving 30GB on D and C will now have

Two months ago I bought a Gateway MT6828 notebook for my son. I was forced to reinstall Vista Home Premium with the disk that came with the computer. In Device Manager it shows - under "other devices" - that the "Mass Storage Controller" is banged out.
