I have a HP Pavilion with 2 SATA harddrives. Vista is pre-installed on
HD0. Now I want to add an XP install and I consider different ways to do
  it:
 - Partition HD0 in two parts, install XP on the new logical drive

I got a new Dell E521 with an AMD 64 X2 and 4GB of RAM.
SInce Dell ships it with only 32-bit system and went and bought a 64-bit
version (to actually be able to use the memory and CPU power).

I've failed to troubleshoot this problem on my own for the last four days.  
After clean install of Vista Home Premium as the the only OS on the drive,
Vista will eventually BSOD.  Upon restart, Vista fails to start and gives the
following message:

SAS 9.13 is not compatible with Vista and SAS 9.20, which is compatible with
Ultimate, is due for release in 2008.
I have the Dell installation CD for XP media center 2005 and an academic
update to Vista and academic Office Pro 2007.
