if i do a clean instal of home premium and have backed up using xp backup when i restore will all of my progams be installed or will i have to reinstal everything include my internet setup

Can I take a snapshot of my cleanly installed, running perfect system to revert back too later instead of soing another clean install or do i need some other software perhaps? Thanks in advance for your time and answers.

I have a new emachine I got at Wal-Mart. It came with Windows Vista. I hate it. Can I uninstall Vista and install Windows XP. I have all the soft ware from a Dell computer, "operating System Disc,etc." Can I sue this or not? Thanks for your time.

I've recently installed Vista Home Premium. Prior to installing I did a file transfer to a SATA drive that I also have on the same computer ( C:/ to F:/ ). How do I transfer all my files back off of the SATA drive (F:/ to C:/) ?

I am trying to install Vista Ultimate on a new computer, clean install. Issue is just after install is almost complete and windows restarts the following message appears... **the computer restarted unexpectedly or encountered an unexpected error.

I have installed Vista on the second of my two SATA hard drives, XP is installed on the first, and was working fine up until now. Vista works fine, but now XP won't boot, it briefly shows the XP startup screen then immediately reboots the system.

In Windows XP, I can select the type of files, such as mp3 or wav, I want to play using 'Windows Media Player'. How do I select or un-select to play the type of media files while I am running Windows Vista? I don't see any 'File Types' in Tools, Options....,

I have full retail version of Ultimate installed on a 36 GB SCSI drive and XP PRO on a 80 GB SATA I drive with Vista Boot Pro on the Vista SCSI drive. I think it was mentioned in one of the forums, but I cannot recall a solution. Vista sees the other drives, and I can see the XP ...

don't know how it happened but my hard drive was formated in a Windows Dynamic mode. I discovered this when I tried to do an Acronis Disk Image which will not work with Dynamic Drives. I made a "Windows Complete PC Backup". I then got my hard drive with 4 partitions ...

Your FAQs tell how to multiboot install but doesn't tell you how to clear a jam. When I install Vista on another partititon, I get a message at end of install: "Windows Cannot Upgrade Boot Configuration. Installation Cannot Proceed."

In Vista, To uninstall a program, I click on Start, Control Panel. In Control panel, I click on the 'Uninstall a program' in the Program group. This is what I find : A page of installed programs and a header, "Uninstall or Change a program"
