I've been trying to reinstall my OS due to a power outage and my OS
became extremely unstable after that.
So now here I am attemting to install Vista for the third time today
and I keep getting the same error message (a number string) saying that
error code 8024001631 May 2009 15:01 GMT3
has anyone figured out how to correct/fix this error code? I have tried about
everything on my trouble shooting list but nothing works.

During the boot of the DVD of Vista SP1 64-bit, I can run one of the
xml answer files, which are in a directory of this DVD, so I can start

I installed yesterday on my laptop (Vista Business) Nero 7 with its
suite and it created a number of issues (program does not start if
invoked, Windows explorer hangs, etc...).

My son released "w32 virut.ai generic" virus onto my pc.
I used a scanner to remove the virus from the files and folders. It
cleaned about 200 but AVG keeps picking up infected files telling me to
reboot every 10 seconds to delete it.

I've just been offered Windows SP2 via my Windows Update manager. My history
on this computer is excellent with regards to updates so I'm inclined to
