Gateway M285-E. Windows vista. Can not wakeup the notebook? Try any keys,
including the power button. The display is black. Everytime, I have to push
the power button for 4 seconds to close the notebook.

How "special" does the USB cable have to be to use the File Transfer Wizard
to move files from XP to Vista?  Info talks about having to buy a "special"
cable but wondering if a regular USB will work.

Vista freezes... what else can I check/test?23 Feb 2007 22:02 GMT11
I installed Vista a little over a week ago and since the first boot,
it freezes constantly and will not respond until I reboot.  I have run
the memory diagnostic test and it all comes back okay.  I then swapped
out the memory with other memory that I know is good and no change.  I
