My new computer comes with Windows Home Premium and I have been considering
upgrading via the "anytime upgrade" to Ultimate.
Has anyone done an upgrade this way?? any comments/problems/suggestions??..

Yesterday I upgraded one of my XP Pro SP2 systems to Vista RC1. Everything
looks amazing, and runs very smoothly(A lot better then Beta 2, or XP ever
did it seems).
The only real problem I've encountered, is that WLM fails to start. I

does Vista have a program compatibility wizard like XP so you can use
programs that don't work in Vista?

I have just received the 32 bit upgrade of home premium and am waiting for
the 64 bit dvd from Microsoft.  Can I go ahead and install the 32 bit version
now and then install the 64 bit over it when it arrives or will this mess
things up.

What in the heck does that mean.  I am on a school network.  Don't ask me to
check with the network administrator.  I know more than he does.  We all do
this ourselves.  Yes, it is Windows Vista Business.  Open license

I'm running Vista Business x64. While browsing the web I accidentally told
IE to always open .zip files, so every time I click on a .zip link IE
automatically opens the file instead of asking me what to do with it. How
can I get back the previous behaviour?

IE 7 with Vista Ultimate works great..but missing Firefox a bit..is Firefox
OK to use in Vista? Does it work OK...anyone using it now in Vista?

I am slightly confused about adding a new hard drive with the new Vista
License.
1.  I want to buy a fast Raptor type drive.
2.  I want to copy my currently installed Vista Premium system to this

I bought a new computer system a couple months ago.  Pentium core 2duo
2.16ghz, 2GB ram, 500 mb hd.  I installed XP on it and all ran fine.  I
decided to try out Vista Ultimate RTM.  I installed it but did a clean
install by completely formatting the drive first (no upgrade).  ...

Does Windows Defender do a good job stopping ad ware, does anyone have any
recomendations for a good ad ware sweeper.? I used to use Ad-Ware free on my
XP for occasional sweeps , and it did a good job but I can't seem to find
it. I am also using Norton (the free 60 day trieal ...

Every time I want to do something like running a program, Vista
prompts for permissions.  If I am logged on as Administrator, how do
you get rid of these prompts?

What exactly is the difference between Vista Business and Vista Business N?
Besides that Business N is the EU version.

Outlook now says it can't find extend.dat and some other files, and I don't
have authorization to use Outlook. So I uninstalled 2007 Trial and
reinstalled 2003.
Same problem.
