Hi, I installed windows vista a few days ago and it was working perfectly. then all of a sudden after a computer restart vista will no longer load up properly. It gets to the desktop and then the start bar/task bar just stops

I'm used to right-clicking on anything to send a shortcut to the desktop, but when I right click on my dialup connection, that's not an option. How do I set up the shortcut (for an elderly friend who needs the easy way to do things)?

I plugged in my 1G flashdrive and the autoplay came up, selected readyboost and the configuration, when I unplug the drive and plug back in, that autoplay came up again, but this time doesn't have the readyboost option, is it normal?
