I am trying to delete an old windows directory of vista but it is not working because I seems not to have access to delete this directory. I logged in as Administrator but it still not working, what do I have to do to make it possible to delete this old windows directory?

Compatability assistant will not allow me to install Symantec Internet Security 2006 as it is not compatible. Yet i need to have it installed to be able to go onto Symantec website to get the 2007 update for vista to allow it to be compatible

I have edited the start menu properties and unchecked or deselected FIVE different search options, but STILL the Start Menu displays the 'Start Search' box as the default choice when I open it. Thus, I can no longer CTRL+ESC or Window-key then R for run or C for control panel. ...

Ok, so far im finding the permission system in Vista at most, flakey. I can execute/modify/etc files, but not move/rename/delete them sometimes. I can change the permission myself to do this, but frankly.. if I have the permission to do that.. isnt this process redundant?

The security software loaded in the flash drive cannot be open in Vista. Until I got a software update, all the files in the vault folder are invisible. Bummer.
