If I understand correctly I should be able to install WindowsXP-Pro to run as a Virtual PC (OS) within Vista64, assuming they are full versions and not upgrades. Would I then be able to run 32bit apps and associated drivers seamlessly with Vista64 apps?

I am trying to update the firmware on my DVD burner. When I start the exe I get a popup stating "Access denied! You must have administrator privileges to flash drives." I am logged in as administrator and this is the DVD writer firmware upgrade. What gives?
