I am trying to get back the original sidebar that came with the computer. As instructed I have gone to properties but I cannot click on the "Return the Gadgets installed with Windows" because it is not highlighted. How can I get back my original sidebar

I have 3072 MB of ram installed and this is confirmed by another program I have running on Vista. When booting up or looking at the properties in My Computer Vista says I have 2943 MB installed. What is the problem?

If I hide the sidebar, I can drag icons to the right of the screen. When I show the sidebar, it covers them up and they are inaccessable.
