ALCXMNTR.exe (realtek event monitor) can i turn off this startup? is this

I've been running Vista Ultimate since December without too many major

In the last couple of weeks, I've noticed that on one of my machines the OS
now takes about 5 minutes to boot (was previously 15-20 seconds).

When saving movies to my computer it part way through it just freezes the

In my neverending quest to get Vista working almost as well as my clunky old
XP system used to, I'm now trying to get the audio so it doesn't sound like

I'm experiencing playback issues when playing music through itunes and videos

My CPU usage keep going up from 1% through 36%, 46%, 50% randomly and then
