In previous Windows versions, when you accessed a registry key, the folder icon beside that key would look "open" so you knew what key you were on. This is especially useful when doing reg searches. In Vista Ultimate, there is no way to tell what key is selected! The icons

I turned off the firewall, I have no other security or anti-virus software running, keep trying things, Vista tells me my high speed connection is fine except nothing works to get on the internet, not even Vista's own help can get on the internet. Suggetions?

I think that I'm going to have to wipe my machine and reinstall XP. Vista definitely has not wowed me. It just keeps getting in the way when I try to work: 1) Long naps at random intervals. It just stops working for up to an hour.
