i'm able to connect to a secure wireless network (wap) but i cannot

In previous Windows versions, when you accessed a registry key, the folder
icon beside that key would look "open" so you knew what key you were on.
This is especially useful when doing reg searches.
In Vista Ultimate, there is no way to tell what key is selected! The icons

I turned off the firewall, I have no other security or anti-virus software
running, keep trying things, Vista tells me my high speed connection is fine
except nothing works to get on the internet, not even Vista's own help can
get on the internet. Suggetions?

Hi I have Vista Home Premium. How do i get the Scrolling Window thingy to
work. I have had it but all i get now is a flat panel with option for a page

Does anyone know why the Explorer process maxes the CPU when you open
a folder containing a lot of video files?  I can only guess that it is
creating some sort of thumbnail list, maybe the ehthumbs_vista file?

No hits in microsoft.public.internetexplorer so I'll try here -
I'm using Vista U and IE7. Seems like the RSS feeds have stopped. When I
would visit a site such as PCMAG.com which has RSS feeds I'd click on the
reddish icon and I could read the feeds. However with Vista U I can't ...

In the server (SBS 2003 R2) I have a folder with several sub-folders and
hundreds of files, The entire
folder is set to be available offline as they are all the

Good day.  I recently bought a Vista (HB) machine so I could learn Vista.  
Two days later, my XP machine died and System Recovery did not recover it
(chkdsk /r).
Good timing!  So I moved everything over to the Vista machine as I had done

Anyone else having trouble getting the Vista upgrade from the DELL site? DELL
says my COA number isn't being accepted due to a fault by Microsoft. It seems
that MS stupidly changed COA numbers of computers already sold and did not
notify DELL.  Anyone else experiencing this ...

I think that I'm going to have to wipe my machine and reinstall XP. Vista
definitely has not wowed me. It just keeps getting in the way when I try to
work:
1) Long naps at random intervals. It just stops working for up to an hour.

I have an ISO-9660 image file (about 3GB, exact representation of the
original installation media, including the content and the logical
format). Does Vista have a capability to write it to a blank DVD-R
resulting in an identical copy of the original DVD including file name
