Am unable to install any program

I backed up files onto an external hard drive from Win XP.  That PC died and
now I cannot open the files using my new Vista PC.
Tried downloading NT Backup/Restore utility but it doesn't help.

I had a problem with my HP desktop going to sleep.  I would put it to sleep,
and it would immediately wake up.  I tried everything suggested, and finally
stumbled on a solution (at least it solved the problem on my pc)

My vista 64 bit crashes almost every time I use my PC. I have all
updated drivers for my vid card. It crashes everytime I play videos and
sometimes when in Media Center playing mp3s. Please help!

i have a Sony Ericsson Headset HBH-600 and it's not working in Vista RTM.
When i connect with the device i get a "Bluetooth Peripheral Device" with a
yellow ! in the device manager.
In Vista 5840 i had no problems.

I have a 2 GHz AMD Athlon 64 processor, and it is maxed out as soon as I
start XP through Virutal PC on Vista Ultimate.  How can I get XP to run
