When I download a file or document Vista (premium) will only save it in the temporary internet files folder - for some weird reason. Which, in the new labyrinth M$ calls Explorer, is not the easiest to find and a damn nuiscience to keep looking for

For as long as I can remember, Session ID for a console session has been 0. We use this value to identify when our software is running from the console, or running from within a TS or Citrix session. For a variety of reasons, we need to know.

I cannot find where to set a webpage as a background in Vista. Did they delete that option. I upgraded from XP where I have myclander as a background so it was always viewable.

As someone who has built his own systems for many years Someone told me I was wasting money paying for the full retail version of Vista (especially at UK prices) and that I can't do a clean install with the up-grade, they suggested I buy an OEM version.

Everytime I open Windows Defender it tells me it is turned off and askes me if I want to turn it on. I am running OneCare and I am wondering if this application automatically turns Defender off after each time I turn it on and run a scan???
