Is there some .dat file or whatever that holds the play count details, ratings, last date played etc. etc. that I can copy for when I do a re-format? I know it's not exactly mission critical but I would like to hang on if possible to my stats, just out of interest really.

I wanted to just change some mic settings so i went to control panel as you normaly would, but this time it just says "Windows explorer has stopped working" & then restarts it. It dose this every time now and it was fine weeks and weeks before. can anyone suggest a fix.

When I boot up the UAC box asks for permission to run my netgear wireless adapter. I say continue and everything is fine. It is somewhat annoying though. Can I have this program run without it asking for permission? Someone mentioned to right click the .exe file and click run as

Hi I have Vista Home Premium. The box asking me to connect to the internet keeps popping up every 15 minutes or so - this is very anoying when watching Win TV. How do I stop this

In XP one could hide the taskbar by simply clicking and dragging the top of the bar. That feature no longer exists in Vista?? You can only auto-hide now?

Ok not much works with this terrible OS but playing an MP3. now how difficult can that be???? Ok open an MP3 and nothing. I can see title etc. so I look at Task Manager. mfpmp.exe at between 75 and 50%. No sound.

I installed Vista ultimate on a sony notebook. In the power options, I set 'do nothing' when i close the lid, and it really works except that when i open the lid again, the monitor can not turn on. All I can do is to press the power button to restart the note book. Why this

I just got a new HP nootebook with Vista. I set up Windows Mail - everthing works great! At 1st I could only receive mail and anything I tryed to send got stuck in the outbox. I turned on: "My server requires authentication" - & so far so good. Dang..I have spell check now!!

According to my CPU Meter (sidebar gadget) for some reason my CPU has "wound up" to 100% and is staying there continuously. This has ONLY just happened in past hour or so. You can "hear" the fan (I HOPE that's what it is?!?!!) whirring away at full tilt...
