Hi! I have been having this problem and for the likes of me cannot
figure it out.  I put my computer into sleep mode every night before I
go to bed.  Sometimes its 10 sometimes 11 sometimes 12.  My problem is,

    Tried "Recomended settings " and running in XPSP2 mode
    and it does not install - I tried to uncheck windows firewall

Yep, that's right.  Vista is njot even compatible with media player.
When trying to look at a video contained in a browser window (such as
with CNN.com) it simply sayes Media Player is not installed and wants to
know if I would like to download it.

Our Kids High School has a web site where you can take a virtual tour of the
new additions, when going the page it wants to install an add on for the
virtual tour but Vista will not let it install saying "Windows has blocked

Select agreement. When I next buy a batch of PCs they will, alas, be
pre-installed with Vista - does the convoluted license agreement allow me to
downgrade these new PCs to XP Pro (using my Select ...
