could anyone please tell me how i can get rid of the boot menu on my vista
only laptop.
I experienced a system error, and vista rebooted, & now every time i start
the boot process i get the boot menu screen, it looks like the XP dual boot

i upgraded to Vista home premium a few months back and have had only a few

Windows Live one care is what Microsoft offers for Vista and my 90 day trial
is up. You can get it for 3 computers for $50 which is a pretty good deal.
The only problem I have had is Defender keeps going off because Live One
wants to do the job.

Recently I had to do a complete re-install of XP Pro. On this drive on
partition 3 I had Vista installed. When I did the re-install of XP, of
course changed the bootloader, so I have boot.ini. I edited boot.ini to
add Vista. Here is what I put in:

Running AVG anti malware fully updated.
AVG found the dropper.pakes trojan in the uninstall executable within
the Ccleaner installation dir.
Cleaned it, rebooted, did full system scan & all reported ok.

My Outlook Express 6 account was linked to my Hotmail account.
It worked great because I travel and was able to create e-mails on the fly
and send them later. Also on the fly I could log onto the net open Outlook
and download my Hotmail e-mails reading them later. Now with Vista, ...

I have purchased a new computer with Vista Home Premium, graphics & games are
great but when I go to play a DVD movie it is very grainy and sometimes looks
pixelated.  I have tried lowering the resolution but nothing.  Is there
anyway I can fix this?  Thxs

Sorry for repeating something htat has probably been asked. I did
search. We are a small school and have licensing for xp pro. When I
replace a machine I have to format the hard drive and install XP pro.
I am accumulating (3 so far) Vista home Premium Disks. The latest

MS Wireless Intellimouse Model 1007 won't work on Vista. The cursor
drags and moves in spurts only.  It worked perfectly on XP.
