When I try to Shut Down my computer; Vista says it is shutting down, but each
time instead of shutting down it reboots back into windows. I am hitting the

The "Shutdown" command when issued against a remote machine in a workgroup,
on which I am supposed to have administrative rights, I get "Access Denied".
That worked on XP. I cannot use RunAS for this command though. How can I
remotely shutdown the machine then?

Just bought a new laptop the other day.  Right out of the box and the machine
won't turn off.  Try to use the shut down through windows but the machine
just restarts, and i have to end up shutting it off manually.  Seems like it
