Does anyone know if it possible to get rid of the Shortcut 'arrow' that appears on desktop icons? Used to be easy in XP via TweakUI. I am sure I have seen a tip where this can be done in VISTA, but I have lost the detail. Thanks in advance.

hey whats up i just bought a acomdata enclosure 509, for anyone who doesn't know what it is, it's for making a IDE hard drive into an external hard drive. anyways i can't find any drivers for it to work on vista. teh web site says it will work on vista but theres no drivers.

Once I set the columns to display in Windows Explorer for a certain folder, is there a way to propogate those columns so that all folders will show only those columns? From the Tools | View tab menu option, Apply to Folders doesn't seem to work for column selections.

If I understand the instructions for fixing the error in defender, you must uninstall WD as the first step. How do you do this? I cannot find anything that will allow you to uninstall any Windows components in Vista. Thanks.
