Almost every time that I am in Windows Explorer such as my computer or my
documents, it always quits responding. Do they have something to do about

I get the message "Windows Explorer has stopped working" every time I try to
access a folder.  To start with it happened occasionally, but now it's
constant.

I haven't the slightest clue as to why a pop up window continues in a  
indefinite loop rehearsing "Windows Explorer has stopped working_
windows is checking for a solution to the problem."
another pop up window follows with Windows Explorer is restarting...

When Vista starts I get a message that 'windows explorer has stopped working,
if I cancel, start-up continues, unexpected lock-ups occur, if I allow it to
go through its process it continues in a redundant search for an answer,
restart and sending info to microsoft.....

Can anyone tell me please what the second smaller right hand side dial
indicates?  The larger dial is obviously current CPU usage but I have no idea
