I have a simple program which broadcasts a packet on 255.255.255.255 every
second but although the packet sending function doesnt return any errors but
the packet is not seen in the network.
Is there any special setting for allowing the broadcasts?

hav used system restore, this fixed the problem.
it has now come back and i cant restore to an old system restore point.
I ran regedit in safe mode and changed shell setting back to explorer.exe it
was explorer.exe svchost.exe. any ideas?????

hope someone can tell me how to stop this.
everytime my laptop is turned on or comes out of hibernation windows media
center comes on.gives me options to play videos etc but cant see any options

What have they done with the Spinning world (top right of browser window) in

Have a Vista home edition.  Office 2007 worked fine.  Since
downloading OpenOffice that came with Firefox update, Word and Excel
no longer work, or only in Safe mode.  Also Excel documents no longer

even after i rebuilt the index many days ago.  the only way I can find

Hey i have windows home premium i installed its on my deskstop everything was
fine but when i installed it on my tablet PC i had some problems with the
video driver but i got them worked out i noticed that i can not switch the
Menus in 3d or ALT+TAB just has basic looking icons ...

Would a PC with Pentium 4HT 3.0 GHZ run Vista with no problems?
