Access problems in new partitions through comand prompt26 Aug 2007 01:18 GMT6
I created new partitions in my hard drive . Now I cant seem to access these
partitions through the command prompt  'cd' command. What can I do. Please
help out.

I have 2 desktop icons with same name, desktop.ini. Can they be hidden
without affecting other desktop icons? Can they be merged? Can they be
deleted? Can they be move somewhere else?

System properties says Windows is Activated, but everything else says it is
not, or is not Genuine, have tried to validate many times without sucess.

I have set up a dual boot system so that I can boot Windows Vista or
Windows XP selectively by setting one of the two partitions active. I
created a WORD file by MS Office 2007 running on Windows Vista and saved
in a data drive D: which is accessible from whichever OS running.

I have 4 icons for links to the weather channel (different areas).
Initially the icons were for seamonkey (my default browser). I changed
them all to different icons. Next day two had changed to the IE icon.

I have read all the threads I can find on this, but none of them addresses my
situation. Here are steps I used:
1. insert disk, click on autorun.exe.
2. Vista says "This Program has known compatibility issues", and says I have

I have installed IIS 7 on vista home premium, then PHP 5.2.3
Then I have placed the php pages at inetpup\wwwroot and i am able to access
the asp and html pages, but when i request for php page it gives error 404.3
Please help me out and tell me is there any way to run php on vista ...

I have Vista Ultimate and i keep encountering the following error msg
every time Windows start:
"Windows sidebar has stopped working"

In Windows XP you could go into ADD/REMOVE Programs and totally uninstall
Internet Explorer (not in the main add/remove window but in another part)
how can I do this on Windows Vista please?
