i was just wondering about my previous encounter with the horrendous
"BlueScreen" error. basically, my laptop, which had vista home basic, just
shuts down by itself and after rebooting, displays an error:

Windows must install a driver. Vista searches for the driver, but I get an

I'm running Vista Ultimate and the "Recent Items" menu under "Start" is not
working, nor has it ever worked.  Both "store recently opened files" and
"store recently opened programs" is checked under start menu properties,
however the list remains empty.

I am running Windows Vista on my PC and burned a DVD of jpegs using
the burn icon in Windows Explorer. I intended these images to be
watched via a DVD player on TV, but they cannot be viewed.
