Also I lost my recyclebin by deleting it accidently from the desktop. After the following procedure I managed to get it back on the desktop: "Right-click on the Desktop and select Personalize. Under Tasks on the left pane select Change desktop icons. Check the Recycle Bin box".

I have no sound coming from my laptop. It does not play media files or any thing on the internet. Any suggestions? It shows that its working and I figure it should be playing then. Problem arises when i hook up headphones to external jack. thanks

I am running vista ultimate, and have scheduled backups that do not run if user is logged off. The backups are sent to network drive specified with UNC. Is there any way to have scheduled backups run if user is not logged in? By the way we are running in a domain setup.

It ends up, unfortunately, my backup of my Vista partition is basically, useless. You don't want to know the details they are far too ugly. So I have an ISO image of Visual Studio. How can I best friend that onto a DVD? Right clicking it and trying a send to DVD does not appear ...

I have a dual core processor and run Vista, when I run a single threaded number-crunching application which is very CPU heavy I noticed a strange behaviour. Vista is scheduling the application on both cores, resulting in a 50% load on each core.
