I have newly bought a computer with loaded windows vista home premium
which worked fine up until it was put into sleep mode. When restarted
after sleep mode "windows resume loader" appears on black screen and the
keyboard does not respond. After switching the computer on and off

I have a shut down problem vista home premium upgrade. I use a
mobile rack with 2 caddies for xp home and vista which i installed in
feb yesterday for no reason it shut down no messages just a click i
have run full test no errors. I have tried it in interal and still shut

hi can anyone shed any light on why my hibenation option has completley  
disapeared i think it disapeared when sp1 was downloaded through auto updates
but cannot be sure that is the cause

I have tried to install SP1 both by going to the update site and downloading.
It is not offered at the update site to me. I keep failing when running the
download. The error is "corrupt data" I believe. Anyway my question is, would
having changed the motherboard since I activated ...

I want to configure a vnc server in 2 computers with vista, but i don't know
how do it. I try disble the UAC and enable in the firewall the remote acess
but it doesn't work.

Using Vista 64 bit.  When searching from the Start Menu, is there any way to
keep the listing of results on screen while opening some of the found files?
If for instance I am searching for a .doc file, dozens show up, but when I

I have admin rights to the profile im logged in with and this folder
was always visabe. Suddenly, it's gone, but not really. Allthe user
profiles are there and if I uncheck "hide system files" in the folder
options it appears. I dont want that option because other more

I run Vista on Dell XPS 410.  My mouse and keyboard recently failed -- can't
do anything without them. Dell tried to assist but couldn't.  They had me
reset the motherboard. Then they had me restore the system, whereupon the

     Ever since I have had Vista OS installed, I am unable to run any of my
KNET videos on the same, but am able to run the same on Xp.
The video teaching section video part is which I am unable to open. The
hands on part runs smooth/

In XP I could search the contents of documents for a name. With Vista I can't
seem to find this option. For example I want to search all word documents or
text documents for ones containing the words "mileage" not in the title but
inside the document.
