I can't quite put my finger on when, but making a ftp connection from
explorer.exe seems to have stopped working....
I am running Vista Business 32bit SP1.

Is there anyway that it is possible to allow IE7 to read RSS feeds that
originate from a password protected directory.
The reason I need this is because I run a club, the members site is password

I just bought and installed a external hard drive.
I am fairly knowlegable about computers but this is my first Ex. Hard drive
and know very little about there use.
So what I want to know is how to save my Family Tree Makers files to it. And

My Disk is split into 2 partitions, Vista (C: ) and Data (E:), each is about
70 Gb.
I do not use the Data partition. I want to delete it and allow Vista(C:) to
use all 140 Gb.

I'm going to send my laptop to HP for repair.  So I thought I should remove
all my documents and other data before that.  I did a Ctrl-X on all the
folders under User (such as Documents, Pictures, etc) and a Ctrl-V on my

I have a dell xps running (ha!) Vista HP32 bit. I am now in a loop. All
my progs seem to be corrupt and I think I need to do a system restore to
factory state. However the keyboard does not respond during boot so I
cant access the safe mode or startup menu - its straight into Vista ...

I ran the Memory Diagnostics tool and after it completed and rebooted
back into Windows, I didnt see any results.  Where do you see the
results of the test?  I'm trying to diagnose this problem where my PC is
 rebooting at random, but I can't determine if it's a memory problem ...

Since adding a few of the obnoxious children to my blocked senders list,
this newsgroup has become a FAR nicer place to be.
I thought it would be helpful for us all to pool our blocked senders lists,
and make them available to people who join the newsgroup.  That way we

I have a Lenova laptop with Vista. In the my computer window it shows that
the hard drive is 6 gigs away from full on a 150 gig HD but when I select all
files and view properties it shows only 40 gigs worth of files. Is there a
glitch or patch anyone knows of because someone ...
