After a month or two honeymoon with my new computer last summer, Windows
Vista quit letting me create new file folders!!! This is really, really
annoying, needless to say. I would really appreciate it if someone could tell
me how to fix this.

When I click on the C: drive in my explorer view I get all the
subfolders.  However, instead of size and date modified I get album,
artist and rating info.  For any individual sub folder I can right click
and change the customize properties to detail view, but for the C: drive

Recently I installed windows vista ultimate SP1 on my PC. I connect to
the internet then windows update install more than 1GB "Software updates
and security patches" to my current vista installation I want to ask if
there is a way to save these updates to a DVD to install it again  ...

With XP I could go to browser history-settings-view files and see allpages
viewed. With Vista a lot of the pages I have viewed and need to print are not

i recently set up exchange tools on vista ultimate 32 bits using the
exchange dll.
since that, i can do every exchange tasks on my MMC but eveytime i create a

Sometimes in Vista, when i try to connect to a VPN, in the Connect To A
Network box, next to the VPN, is says "this network requires an internet
connection". i have an internet connection that is working fine, and i am

Hi, I unchecked lots of stuff from the startup menu, its a little faster but it still takes about 60 seconds to bootup is this normal? also I tried to bypass the signing on I don't have to put a password in but I still have the icon, how can I just bootup and go strait to windows ...

After my update to Vista SP1, or perhaps a bit later, I have noticed
a folder called "found.000" which seems to contain a large number of files
and several folders. for example a folder called "dir000.chk" and files
called things like "BVRPWF2000......" or "EPNDDE30..."

I have unstalled a Belkin Easy transfer cable and connected the old (Windows
XP)  to the new (Vista), and the new says the cable is working but nothing is
happening. The wizard on the old is trying to connect but the new doesn't
seem to know it's there. Any suggestions gratefully ...
