I'm having trouble with the REN command with wild cards as used from the command prompt.  
For example, in the REN command help, it says:
"For example, if you had files that are named smitha.doc, smithb.doc, and smithc.doc, you could use the ren smith*.doc smythe*.doc command. All ...

On my new vista install, I cannot see the image when viewing the files in
Windows Explorer .
Normally in thumbnail view I can see a small preview of the image file but I
just get generic icons to indicate an image file.

I don't have sp1, but wu says my vista home premium is updated. i don't want
to use the independent version because of its size...what should i do??

When you Right Click the mouse, can you edit the offerings, such as
'Send To', 'Open with' etc. ?

I am currently using AOL 9.0 and Windows Vista. I had 2 years worth of
incoming e-mails stored in

The following web site says "Vista SP1:Create a recovery disc". It says
the startup program folder of "Maintenance" contains option of "Create a
Recovery Disc" but mine does not have that. I wonder if there is
something wrong with my SP1 installation.

I Have laptop Toshiba, came with win xp home premium and I upgraded to win
vista home premium with SP1.I noticing,when I turn off the computer take

I recently started using a new notebook with Vista Home premium installed.
Now I'm at a loss about MIDI settings. Can't find any MIDI settings under
soundcard, nor is it mentioned anywhere in help.
Am I getting blind, or is MIDI functionality simply removed?
