Hi... I got Vista on a new computer last year, and mostly it's worked fine up until recently, with a few MAJOR problems. I'm not sure that it's actually vista, but am hoping someone can help.

OK... I set up the Family Safety restrictions on my ten year old son's user profile. The time of use restrictions work great, but the content filtering option doesn't do squat. I tried visiting some pages he never should be on - ie Playboy - and had no trouble accessin them.

I have a program that checks to see if a firmware update is available. Everytime Vista boots it tells me that it has blocked this program from running. I can then unblock manually and then I also need to click "allow" to get it running - absolutely ridiculous!

I've noticed that this support page and a few others like Google Mail are extremely slow to load. Most pages with this broadband connection are lightning fast. I've tried disabling McAfee components and that doesn't solve the problem. Any recommendations?

Whenever I try to download an attachment on any email client (not Windows Mail) in Internet Explorer 7, the download window opens and stalls. The download size does not show or anything; it shows no specific information but stays the same constantly.

Sorry if this question was already asked. Are there suppose to be typos when you start Windows Vista for the first time, during the setup process? I found some and I'm just wondering if my program is legit or not.
