No internet when wireless plugged in31 Jan 2009 23:56 GMT5
I have a DSL that goes into a wired router, that then feed my computer

the wireless is "on" my computer's internet or email does not work,
Better to do a clean install for W7 - or just upgrade Vista?31 Jan 2009 23:17 GMT12
In so many past Windows operating systems I learned to do a clean install
for best performance; to get rid of the remnants of the old OS that can
stick behind slowing down the shiny new OS.
Is Windows 7 different?  i.e. can I do a direct upgrade from Vista and will

I'm trying to attach a picture (and the same is true for a file) to an
email, but when I navigate to where the picture/file is located I get an
error that the folder is not accessible.
If I navigate to the file with windows explorer I can open it no problem.

I am considering going to 64-bit Ultimate, but need to know:
1. Can I run XP in a virtual machine? IF so are there instructions on how to
do this?
2. Does it run the 32 bit programs that Home Premium runs without exception?

In my command window, I right click on the title bar and on the menu, "Copy

window, there are scroll bars but "Copy enter" is ...

I realize a lot of folders in Documents and Settings in XP are now in Users in

some location I can get into, or is there some ...

Vista machine won't read DVD31 Jan 2009 15:01 GMT5
I have a new vista machine with a Bluray drive. I burned a DVD+R in my

the Bluray drive it won't show any files. It shows the name I gave to
the disk so something is reading, just not the stuff I want to see.

All of a sudden my DVD drive fails to be seen by Windows Vista Home Premium
