If one disables a service in Administration Tools, is it normal for the
service to
still show up in task manger?

I tried to go back to Vista search just for the heck of it today, have 2 WRI
(writepad), 1 DOC, 1 TXT, 1 PDF files containing "103" string in them, Vista
found only PDF.
Beyond ridiculous.  I hate Vista Search more than Microsoft Bob, ohh and

I cannot rename folders in the left pane using a slow double click ...
My double click speed works fine in the right pane and I have no
problem renaming there.
I can't get this to work in Vista. Can anyone help please?

Hi, this happened out of the blue Thursday.  When my Vista Home Premium-SP1,
is idle for awhile, the computer freezes... the screen is a grayish color and
the mouse circle just keeps twirling.  I have to manually re-boot.

When opening a picture in Windows Photo Gallery it is yellow in color, almost
like Sepia. This happends for every picture. The colors on the thumnail is
correct. Also when I open the pictures in Canon DPP or Adobe Elements it's
correct.

I'm not sure what I did. I was adding an icon to the top level of the
Start Menu (you know, by dragging and dropping an icon onto the start
menu), and the icon shows up properly and my Start Menu appears to work

i INSTALLED vISTA uLTIMATE 32 BIT AND THERE IS NO MEDIA CENTER. a
