I have a software program in which I want to save certain data files with a
different name.  When I use Save As, the software will not permit me to save
the file, because it tells me that I need "administrator privileges."
I am the sole user of my computer, running on a Vista ...

I downloaded and installed the subject update. The first thing I
observed was that my McAfee virus protection program became corrupted
and had to be completely uninstalled and reinstalled.. I went thru that

WindowsXp was the best OS ever, after a few registry patches (e.g. notorious
failing Search by file contents), a few tweaks, and in my case total COLORS
customization, and in Classic mode, in the end it wasd the best.

I am having an issue with word and works word processor; I try to cut
and paste something and it either won't stay highlighted to cut/copy, it
will selectively highlight part of what I am trying to highlight or it
drags a few letters and the word gets jumbled up. I have no idea why ...

I have windows vista bought it 6 months ago, used windows mail from the start
it has now  stopped working, also have Mcafee antivirus, stopped receiving

I purchased an "academic upgrade" version of Vista Home Premium SP1. If
I boot up the DVD, do a "clean" install of it, and not activate and just
use the 30 days, would it be possible once that I installed SP2 Vista
would recognize it as an "upgrade," not a "clean" install?

Okay so I have a ThinkCentre PC with Windows XP Home installed on on it.
I've got another machine that is currently running Vista. If I make a
install cd from the XP machine, can I install it on my other Compaq
machine that is running vista (it came with XP Media Center Edition 2005

Ok what's up ? I just upgraded to SP2, and now the machines running like
molasses, not to mention all the security stuff it 'fixed ???' that now needs
passwords where they didn't before.
Please tell me there's a fix for SP2, or a way to remove it !
