This is ridiculous. It now takes minutes between key presses to type words. I went and made coffee while waiting for the machine to type '0109' And it eventually typed '00109'. Everything is now 'not responding'. I have to exit the TV just to regain

Greetings. I have purchased a new desktop (a 64 bit Dell XPS 430) that will come with a Vista Home Premium. The desktop will have one user. I plan to partition its HD using a tool like pmagic. Partition C

I installed SP2 for Vista when it came out. I created a new user account today. I opened Windows Media Player 11 and it started with Welcome to Window Media Player 11 for Vista window. It wants me to Choose the initial setting... Express or Custom.

Not strictly Vista related but.... Has anyone noticed problems using Facebook since IE8? (the problem may be their end but it seemed to coincide with IE8) 2 things spring to mind.

A bunch of photo's show wrong thumbnail images (they were edited/rotated). In XP you were able to refresh the thumbnails. How do you do that in Vista?

When I bring up a news group, it runs out of control with the sidebar running all the way to the bottom. And I can't bring it back to the top. The only way I can do this is to unplug my USB plug which controls the mouse. Once I do that I can pull the sidebar back up to the top ...

i created my partition and burned the iso file..... DVD won't do anything from within vista 32, so i restarted and booted from the DVD, it loaded some files and then stuck on a very nice screen for 5 minutes. no activity from the DVD whatsoever. so i pulled

two separate, but inter-related stories. 1. A few months ago we had a visitor stay from Europe (I am in Perth, Australia) so I decided to 'hide' my files (kept on a separate D drive) so that IF he wanted to use my PC he wouldn't see them.
