Speech recognition works fine with AIM until I go to the actual instant
message box, when I dictate what I want it to say, it tries to recognize it
as a command, and won't type what I say. Does anyone know how to get it to
work?

I have a laptop running Vista with three external hard drives.  Sometimes
when I turn the computer on, the drive letters are reassigned without any
changes made by me.  This makes some of the programs that I have on these
drives unable to work.

Right now i'm running vista ultimate with a Q6600 and 4 gigs of ram.
but i do graphics professionally and video a LOT so the memory is
maxed out already. I'd like to prepare for the future with the 64 bit.

Vista will no longer keep the normal setting for TCP Window Auto-Tuning. It
always switches to and back to highlyrestricted. Something in SP2 is doing
this because things were fine previious to. Uninstalling SP2 corrects the
problem.

I've got a strange problem with my desktop icons -- thay don't repsect
IconVerticalSpacing or IconSpacing. Nor do they show any text below the icon
itself.

I don't know if this occurred in XP or not.
I have renamed a user, but when I use Windows Explorer, the old user name
shows up instead of the new one, even after a restart.  What can I do to get
