Between the \Windows\winsxs and \SoftwareDistribution\Download folders there are 20 unique versions of iexplore.exe stored on my computer. They run from version numbers 6.0.6000.16386 up to 8.0.60001.18702, with each one consuming a bit over 600K of space.

I've tried several things like updating the Nvidia drivers and still it don't put them in power saving mode. I don't know what else to do as it's frustrating to come down in the morning and see that the damn things have been on all night!

Any help in improving the sound quality of my machine would be very much appreciated. It is particularly poor (broken up) on such sites as YouTube although it wouldn't win any prizes either when playing CDs or MP3 files. I am not very critical sound-wise so it has to be poor for me

Vista Business updated on Dell Vostro No hw connected other than a recent HP printer, which is switched off when not in use. No drivers updated, in fact there are no updated chipset / video drivers available, only Vista critical updates added

Not really sure how this happened, but I think that drag/drop a file onto my admin acct's desktop-thought I was making a shortcut, and now I can't delete it. When I try deleting I get : If you delete this file, it will no longer be shared.

I have a Vista computer that always boots into the recovery options and trys to repair the operating system. How can I stop this from happening? Even after repairing it does not try to boot normally! Safe mode does the same thing.
