Yesterday I was online according to all the signs/info from the icon down near the clock. Somehow someone forgot to tell my system and I couldn't send out or receive messages. Instead I was asked several times if I wanted to go online.

My son is running Vista Home Premium onto his machine and just downloaded Windows 7/RTM and he wants to install it desperately. I'm hesitant to do so: it's easy to "uninstall" Windows 7 and revert back to Home Premium if he thinks that he made a mistake?

I am trying to create an ad-hoc network between 2 laptops, one running Vista and another XP. I am able to see the XP machine in the Network map, but am unable to ping either ways (i.e. from vista to xp and vice versa). And offcourse, I get "Path not found" and "Access denied" ...
