I had a HP PC running windows vista home basic, it crashed and was not
able to boot in vista. Startup repair or safe mode did not work, so
inorder to save data I installed vista business on top of it. The data
is recovered and now when I try to boot to the factory restore it does

So I have this problem: I am using Windows Vista and I decided to try
classic theme instead of Vista. The problem is when I right-click with
my mouse on any file, it shows this right-click window very wide - over

I keep getting reminded by the automatic updating that I have updates.
Many of them lately have been for Office which I don't have.  How do I
get rid of these from the list of updates?  They don't go away.

I have read how to run "Snip" tool  Went to Run and typed Snip and nothing
comes up.  Did a search on my hard driver for Snip...it's missing
Vista Home Premium...
Any thoughts?

I've changed this service to "mamual" so it will only start when needede but
it still is running.  Is there something else that triggers it to start?  My
files are not indexed.

my laptop is a HP CG60-243CL and its about 7 months old. Whenever i
would put my battery charger into my laptop it says "plugged in, not
charging" this is when it's on. Most particularly it has a blinking LED
light on the charging icon (Lightning bolt icon). However, when i charge

Recently trying to install AVG, and I was receiving installer issues.
I approached other Tech sites and was told to use a program, basically
now I cannot install any program, and I receive the error concerning

Yesterday when I turned on my Dell Laptop (Inspiron 1521, 2 yrs. old), there
was a vertical, red, laser-like stripe on my screen.  When I got to my
desktop and subsequent web pages, certain white areas (like the one on which
I'm currently writing) are awash in a turquoise color. ...

Multiple support reps at Toshiba have told me that Toshiba does not
recommend using the hibernate mode as it may damage the system board.  They
referred to it as "overhibernation" and they recommend only using the full
shut down.  Sounds screwy to me.  Opinions please.
