Comdlg32.ocx07 Oct 2008 03:30 GMT12
I've been trying to register Comdlg32.ocx on my new system... quite the
exercise in frustration!  For a while, it wouldn't find the file, but I
think I have worked around that problem by giving permissions to all
users, since you can't Run As Admin for an .ocx file.

2) it needs a new fast computer for it to run well enough to use
3) you often need to throw away perfectly functioning peripherals because

I am a website designer and this is my first post and frankly I am

returning to XP. (I notice today via Zednet that MS has announced a
further extension to XP support and is accelerating its Windows 7 OS.)

Repair install?07 Oct 2008 01:38 GMT27
I am running Vista Home Premium & can't get the thing to boot to Windows.
I might get as far as the progress bar running across the bottom of the
screen, but it will inevitably reboot, never getting all the was to the log
in screen.
In a perfect world07 Oct 2008 01:19 GMT18
In a perfect world, users who want to use Vista would use Vista.  If they
have problems they could post the problems and JUST get answers.
Imagine the Vista posters posting their questions to the vista.general
forum.  Who would think that any of them would bother going to Ubuntu ...
