Linksys has just informed me that the new firewall in SP2 is the cause if
most of the issues

I just installed SP2 on my Dell 600m with Windows XP installed. When I turn
off my WiFi connection using the Fn-F2 key on my system, I get a balloon with
this message:
"Wireless Network Connection is not connected"

I am using two PC's, both of them are WinXP SP2, wirelss network (D-Link
stuff) that includes two USB cards for the PC's and a wireless router which
is connected via modem to ADSL. I'm also using anti-virus on both of the
platforms.

Connected one of these to my desktop last night. I have a simple dial up
internet access right now. But I wanted to be able to use internet sharing

I have about 35 Cisco Aironet 1200 Access Points deployed & would like to
use MAC authentication.  I can set it up on the APs themselves, but they
can't share MAC lists.  I currently use MS IAS for authentication (PEAP) for
our internal users.  ....I don't see any RADIUS option for ...

I just want to add wifi to my network but I don't want it to be open to any
computer so I need mac filtering. Is there an access point that can do this?

I have a laptop and a PC with a Microsoft Wireless Router.  Up until 2 weeks
ago I was able to access files on the PC from my laptop and vice versa, I was
also able to share a printer.  Now, when I go into "Network Places" the other
computer does not show up in my workgroup even ...

Ok here is the thing. My brother and I both have wireless internet throught
the same wireless router. I know his IP address and I was wondering how I can
connect to his computer and get some files off of his computer. Please Help.

I am encountering some rather sporadic issues with my home network.
The set up is as follows: one desktop with a wireless D-Link network card,
two laptops - both with wireless notebook cards.One laptop is running XP
Pro, the other is running Win2K. The desktop is also running XP Pro ...

All wireless cards seem to come with the manufacturer's utility for
configuring the connection. To use it you have to disable Windows own
wireless configuration utility.
The manufacturer's recommend using theirs, which has a fancier-looking GUI.

im trying to set up an ad hoc network between two XP computers. there
are alot of problems and im trying to analyze it step by step
on the host computer, the wireless icon in the taskbar tells me:
connected to network "myssidname". there is no red cross over the icon

windows xp refuses to download/install drivers for my linksys wireless pci
adapter.  Tried switching slots, install rollback, reinstall, spent hours w/
tech support, to no avail.  get error msg "this device cannot  start. (code
10). Any suggestions?
