A little bit of background info:
My room in my house sits directly above a linksys wireless B access point
downstairs. I have had a laptop w/WinXp home with a built-in wireless chip
for a while and have had absolutely no problems in this exact location.

My daughter has a laptop that is driving us nuts.  It will work fine all day

I am trying to add a network printer.  When browsing for a printer, the name
"Microsfot Windows Network" is displayed without any subdirectories.  Why

i tried connecting 2 laptops using peer to peer wireles, they both have b/g
cards in them but always connect at 11mbs?
is there some kinda restriction on this or am i doing something wrong here?

When I run winipcfg, the drop-down list doesn't show my wireless adapter,
yet in Device Manager, it shows that it's working properly with no
conflicts.  Also, the software that came with the adapter, shows that it's
active and connected to the Access Point (WRT54G router) but ...

go out and try to connect to someone else's UNSECURED wireless network at a
