Want to use wireless networking yet there is no wireless connection icon in my network connections. Can anyone suggest why and how to create a wireless connection? Or is this likely to be a hardware problem?

I am using windows XP, with a Linksys router One PC is connected via cable the other via wireless adapter. I finally was able to get the 2 computers to share the printer. ( I needed to deal with Firewall stuff, etc etc)
