Wondered if anyone out there might be able to help.
I'm running a Compaq nc8230 laptop, which has an Intel 2200BG wireless
network card integrated. I'm using it with a Conexant wireless router.
Until recently, it connected fine to my open-access network and I could

Hope you can help.  I have a DELL laptop that I was using to access the
internet via a wireless router.  Now all I get is "cannot find server" even
though I have excellent strength on Intel(R)  PRO/Wireless LAN 21003a Mini

I have just setup a Wi-Fi network for a friend and every now and then he
loses the signal from his router and picks up the one from next door,

I have a Linksys WRT54G wireless router. I use WEP encryption and
broadcast 80211.b and g (I have one computer with an 80211.b card). I
have Broadcast SSID set to on.
I have an HP Pavillion zv5000 laptop with built-in 80211.g capability.

...I'll be impressed.  I bought a wireless card for my PC (my first attempt
at the wireless age).  It's a Netgear WG311T.  I set it up with both the
Netgear software and Windows controlling it (separately), and they both have
this issue.  My connection drops for about 1-2 seconds ...

Does anyone know of a setting that will allow the hard wire to hit the
network before the wireless hits the network?  Basically I need the nics to
first detect a hard wired network and use it, instead of both connecting.
