Is it possible to do wake up on LAN in a wireless network?

On my laptop I have Windows XP Homenet edition with the recent updates
inclusive of SP2.  I wanted to install software for a recently bought
cardbus adapter of the make SMC with a view to having wireless internet
connection.

Please help me.  I am very confused about Wireless Networks and my WLAN
which has worked fine for a year suddenly went bad on one of my PCs.

Sorry folks, I've had a trawl though Google Groups etc to see if
anyone's already asked this but I don't seem to find exactly my
