My Setup
Router: Thompson SpeedTouch 576
Laptop: HP Pavilion zd8290ea with Broadcom in built wireless
- My laptop is seeing the wireless network from my router.

I have tried this on 4 different PC's with 3 different card (2 types) and 3
different routers (2 types)
Firstly, I bought 2 BT Voyager wireless broadband kits each including BT
Voyager 2100 Wireless router, 1040 PCI card and 1060 Laptop card. One 1040

According to my computer I have an excellent signal and the computer says it
is connected but when I try and use the internet with a browser or anything
else the internet connection is not found.  
Seems like there is something minor keeping me from bringing the two together.

Is WEP 64bit good enough generally for most people ? I doubt tthere are any
really good hackers around my area but i would like at least a decent level
of security in case someone tries to get into my network and into my

I'm have a laptop that is using WPA-PSK to connect wiht my modem/router and
a music player that uses WPA to connect to the modem router, I cant
configure the Music player to use WPA-PSK so I was going to configure the
