I had established a home wireless network between two WinXP computers, and a
Win98 machine. One XP machine was running SP2, and the problem computer, was
upgraded to SP2 yesterday.

I have a Wireless Belkin F5D6231 Router/Gateway set up with no
encryption. I don't wan't to add encryption or anything, I just want to
know if anyone is using the network. Is there anyway to do this? The
only log that is offered by the Belkin control panel is a log of when

When my connection drops MSN Messenger troubleshoots as to why it cannot
resume on the internet.
It usually says there is a problem with the default gateway.  Looking at
ipconfig in the command screen the default gateway has the same address as

I connect to the intenet using a cable modem with the USB cable, however, I
am trying to go wireless now and need to connect using the ethernet
connection but the computer does not recognize that connection at all.  How

When i choose this task in windows it says that it cannot disable the
network adapter?  Does anyone know what would be stopping xp from disabling
a belkin f5d7000 wireless card?

How do you actually access files on a home network form another computer. I
have a network set up, I have a desktop Pc and a wireless laptop, with a
wireless router. I have set up file sharing but not sure how I actually
access the folder from my other computer.

i considered the option of buying a USB WLAN card,
and setup an Ad-Hoc network between the PC and my laptop

Anyone happen to know if it's possible to change the connection properties
via script?  It'd be really handy to be able to setup WEP keys on AP's via
login script etc.
