Currently my desktop and laptop share internet connection using a wired router. If I replace it with a wireless router , with desktop sharing wired link with the wireless router and laptop using the wireless link, is there any disadvantage of this approach ?

I'm thinking of upgrading my 4-year old Win XP Pro desktop to SP2. I've heard stories about SP2 killing a home network. I have a Linksys-G WRT54G wireless router...using wired and wireless to 6 other Win98 and WinXP computers, and everything works perfectly.

I have a BlackBerry that I use to get access to the internet. I would like to also use ICS with my desktop. Would I be able to use a wireless router to link up the two computers and then go out to the internet via the computer that has the BB connection?
